Q: What license size do I need to buy?
A: Imonitor Employee Activity Monitor Professional Edition license size is based on the number of computers you are going to monitor, i.e. the number of computers where you install Agent in your organization. You will not be able to monitor more computers than the license size you purchase.

Q: What happens after I purchase Employee Activity Monitor Professional Edition?
A: After you pay you will instantly receive your registration code. Delivery is performed via email.

Q: Is there any hidden fees?
A: There is only one flat fee that you pay once and own the license for the product forever. There is no need to pay for subscription, tech support, etc.

Q: Do I get technical support with my purchase?
A: As a registered user you get high priority product life time free technical support via email. Please feel free to contact us with any questions regarding our products.

Q: How about the version upgrades?
A: We work on improving our software constantly. Product updates and fixes are available quite often. Technical FAQs:

Q: Does your company read our computer activity logs? What about privacy?
A: No. All captured logs are saved in centralized database on your server computer. We have no connection with the spy system running on your computer.

Q: Does Awosoft Imonitor EAM store logs in centralized database on server computer? How to change database directory?
A: Yes, Awosoft Imonitor EAM is not like other monitoring software, it stores logs on centralized database on server computer, including keystrokes, mail logs, file logs, clipboard logs, website logs, ftp logs, print job logs, instant message. The Agent Program uploads collected logs to server computer AUTOMATICALLY at an interval of X minutes you specified. It stores the logs in centralized database on disk C of server computer, if you want to change the directory please click "Settings -> Others -> Set Database Directory".

Q: What should I do if I can’t login to Awosoft Imonitor EAM program server?

A: The default user name is “admin”, the default password is “000”,? if you have changed your password, please enter new password and try again. If your computer is protected by a firewall, the ports TCP 4820, UDP 4926, UDP 4927 must be enabled on server computer.

Q: What should I do if I can’t connect to remote computer?

A: If you have not installed the agent program onto the remote computer, please install the agent firstly. Just copy the agent program from the set up package to your agent computers. If agent program has been installed on the remote computer and the remote computer is protected by firewall, then the ports TCP 4802, TCP 4911, UDP 4801, UDP 4822 must be enabled on remote computer, and the ports TCP 4823, UDP 4821 must be enabled on the local server computer.

Q: How to set correct log synchronization time interval?

A: It’s based on your licenses size, what we recommend is, 3 – 12 licenses: 5 Minutes, 13 – 30 licenses: 10 Minutes, 31 – 200 licenses: 30 Minutes, 200+ licenses: 60 Minutes. The default time interval is 1 minute, please change it to the proper value.

Q: Anti-spyware or Antivirus software prevents me from installing Awosoft Imonitor EAM Agent. Or it disables my monitoring software.

A: If you are the administrator of the computers being monitored, you may easily disable warnings in the Anti-spyware configuration menu. So the employees will not be able to detect presence of monitoring software.

Q: I tried to reinstall Awosoft Imonitor EAM Agent, but I cannot do it because of sharing violation error messages.
A: It means that Awosoft Imonitor EAM Agent is running now. Try to uninstall the agent through your console firstly, restart your computer and then run installation file again.

Q: What network protocols does Awosoft Imonitor EAM use?
A: It uses TCP/IP. Awosoft Imonitor EAM console program uses TCP 4823, UDP 4821. Awosoft Imonitor EAM Server program uses TCP 4820, UDP 4926, UDP 4927, Agent program uses ports TCP 4802, TCP 4911, UDP 4801, UDP 4822. They should be free to work properly. If you have firewall installed, you need to enable communications through these ports for Awosoft Imonitor EAM.
